Hello Magazine

Just minutes away from The Strip, the Keep Memory Alive Event Centre is located next to, and partnered with, a brain health research and treatment facility. On paper, it may sound like an odd choice of venue, but the event centre is essentially a 9,200-square-foot blank canvas for couples to create the wedding of their dreams. Frank Gehry designed the modern wonder, which offers the wow factor from both the inside and outside.

Keep Memory Alive Event Center

Las Vegas’ Keep Memory Alive Event Center is a building attendees won’t be able to forget.  Designed by Frank Gehry and opened in 2010, the structure resembles stainless steel melting in the Las Vegas sun, managing to stand out in a city filled with iconic properties.  I’s one of the centerpieces of Symphony Park – a 61-acre mixed-use urban community-and is minutes from the famed Las Vegas Strip.

Rather than being a nice diversion from the high rolling activities associated with Sin City, Keep Memory Alive Event Center is a destination for groups meeting in Las Vegas.  The facility’s unique design, including a 75-ft. tall ceiling and 199 windows, gives planners a chance to create memorable events for up to 450 people at a seated dinner or 700 for a reception. The number grows to more than 1,500 when expanded to the breezeway and garden.  LED lighting can be customized,  On-site catering is availalbe,  as is a full bar.  Even more inspiring?  All rental profits are donated to Cleveland Clinic’s Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health to fun neurological research.

Lou Ruvo Center photos: VIPs, chefs celebrate painting by Rosenquist

There is no question it is an extraordinary work of art and an impressive, modern-day masterpiece. Architecture review: Frank Gehry's Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in Las Vegas

Reporting from Las Vegas — Frank Gehry’s buildings can look unfinished or unruly — even a bit chaotic. But they often have surprisingly direct metaphorical stories to tell.

Walt Disney Concert Hall is a joyously informal ship of state for a city keen to come together, if only for a few hours, in a collective experience. Gehry’s own house in Santa Monica, a modest pink bungalow the architect wrapped in colliding layers of corrugated metal and chain link, is an unabashed affirmation of the workaday, un-pretty built landscape of Southern California…
